Škoda Auto India has unveiled the new Kushaq in India, reinforcing its business strategy of democratising European technology for Indian consumers. Pre-bookings for the updated compact SUV have opened at ₹15,000, with deliveries slated to begin by the end of March 2026. The Kushaq remains a cornerstone of the company’s India 2.0 programme and has been a key contributor to its recent sales growth.
The new Kushaq brings several segment-first offerings aimed at strengthening its value proposition. These include an all-new eight-speed torque converter automatic paired with the 1.0 TSI engine, a six-speed manual option, and the seven-speed DSG with the more powerful 1.5 TSI. Feature upgrades include a panoramic sunroof, rear seat massage function, digital cockpit, AI-powered voice assistant, and a wide range of comfort and convenience features offered as standard across variants.
Safety continues to be a major selling point, with the SUV retaining its five-star Global NCAP rating and offering six airbags and over 25 safety features as standard. Ownership costs are addressed through the Škoda Super Care package, which includes a four-year warranty, roadside assistance and labour-free services.
In Siliguri, dealers see strong business potential for the new Kushaq as demand rises for automatic SUVs with premium safety and technology features. Buyers in north Bengal and adjoining hill areas are increasingly favouring well-equipped, reliable SUVs, positioning the Kushaq as a competitive offering in this growing regional market.
