Škoda Auto India is set to launch an all-new compact SUV in India in the first half of 2025, marking the company’s third major product offensive after the Kushaq and Slavia. This vehicle will continue Škoda Auto India’s ethos of making cars for the local market, focusing on localisation and low maintenance costs. The MQB-A0-IN, to maintain its made-for-India, ready-for-the-world ethos. The platform was first introduced in the Kushaq SUV in July 2021 and the Slavia sedan in March 2022, focusing on localisation and low maintenance costs.
Škoda Auto is set to launch a compact SUV in India in a year, aiming to enhance its workforce and engage with customers. The company has already started trainings and workshops for sales and after-sales, focusing on customer satisfaction. The compact SUV is expected to reach 100,000 annual sales volume by 2026, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Speaking on the announcement, Klaus Zellmer, CEO, Škoda Auto a.s, said, “I’m confident the expanding Škoda portfolio will contribute to our India growth target of achieving a market share for the Volkswagen family of brands of around 5 percent by 2030.”
