Siliguri: Siliguri Seth Shrilal Market Vyavasayee Samiti on Monday submitted a memorandum at Panitanki police chowki, raising several demands including concerns over the possible relocation of the chowki.
The committee members said that the presence of the Panitanki Chowki plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of traders. They expressed apprehension that shifting the chowki would create a sense of insecurity among shopkeepers.
Besides, the memorandum also outlined several unresolved issues within the market premises that the traders want resolved.
The association appealed to the authorities to maintain the chowki and take necessary action to improve the market conditions.
