Siliguri, May 23: Siliguri women Police Station has arrested a young man for having physical relations with a girl under false identity and promising marriage to her. The arrested person has been identified as Nazrul Hussain, a resident of Cooch Behar.
According to reports, about a year ago Nazrul had come to Siliguri from Cooch Behar in search of work. During his stay, he met a girl and introduced herself as Krishna Roy. With time both of them fell in love. Nazrul promised to marry her and they started living together. It is alleged that during this period Nazrul had physical relations with the girl.
After a few time, Nazrul alias Krishna suddenly moved out from Siliguri. After this the girl went to Cooch Behar in search of him and came to know that her lover Krishna Roy was actually Nazrul Hussain and he was married.
After learning the truth, the girl returned to Siliguri and lodged a written complaint against Nazrul at the Siliguri Women’s Police Station on May 19, accusing him of cheating and having physical relations on the excuse of marriage.
Acting on the complaint, Siliguri Mahila Police on Wednesday arrested Nazrul Hussain from Cooch Behar and brought him back to Siliguri. On Thursday, the police presented the accused in Siliguri court.
