Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad celebrates second anniversary with community events

Naxalbari, July 26: Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad celebrated its 2nd anniversary with multiple community programmes. The council’s development work report was released on Friday and tricycles were distributed as part of the celebrations.
Speaker Arun Ghosh, District Magistrate (DM) Preeti Goyal and others handed over tricycles to four people with special needs at Naxalbari Handicap Society. This year’s celebration emphasized humanitarian efforts, in contrast to the diverse events held during the first anniversary.
Apart from the distribution programme, a program for visually impaired people will be organized at Matigara Matri Chhaya. Furthermore, Arun Ghosh announced that a tree plantation program will take place in August as part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations.
Nirmalya Gharami, Priyanka Vishwas, Nalini Ranjan Roy and Maniram and head of Naxalbari participated in the ceremony.
