Siliguri, March 04: Siliguri Kabaddi and Cricket coach Poppy Dalal has been accused of calling the families of students to his house and attacking them.
According to reports, the families of Pradip Ghosh and Krishna Barui shared a good relationship and being the coach, Poppy Dalal was closely associated with both. However, it is alleged that she created a rift between the two families. On coming to know about the matter, both the families approached Poppy Dalal on Monday afternoon to discuss the matter.
It is alleged that during the clash, Poppy Dalal attacked both the families with an iron rod. As a result, Pradip Ghosh’s wife Rama Ghosh and Krishna Barui’s wife Deepa Barui were injured.
Besides, Priti Ghosh was also injured while trying to save her mother. After the incident, the victim families lodged a written complaint at the NJP police station.
On the other hand, Popy Dalal denied the allegations, saying he did not attack or abuse anyone. Instead, he accused the families of Pradip Ghosh and Krishna Barui of attacking him. The NJP police have begun investigating the case.
