Shyam Pragati Sangha at Panitanki in Kharibari has begun preparations for the grand Kali Puja

Kharibari, Oct 18: Shyama Pragati Sangha at Panitanki in Kharibari has begun preparations for Kali Puja with the formal ‘Khutti Puja’. This year the club’s theme is inspired by the Akshardham temple in Gujarat.
According to reports, last year the club attracted a lot of attention by creating a replica of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. This year, they aim to create a pictorial representation of the Akshardham Mandir. Apart from this, the pavilion will feature laser lighting displays from Kolkata and decorative lighting from Chandan Nagar.
The organisers claim that the pavilion will stand out among the places of worship in Siliguri and North Bengal. Shyama Pragati Sangha secretary Sanjeev Barman also said that Chhau dance from Purulia and various cultural and social programmes will be performed throughout the festival.
