The Election Commission( EC) is fastening on 929 polling cells across Tripura, setting a target of 92 per cent namer turnout in the assembly choices due beforehand this time. These cells recorded a namer turnout of lower than 89 per cent, which was the normal across,328 cells in the 2018 assembly pates. The EC is also working on ‘ Mission Zero Poll Violence ’ to make the assembly choices peaceful. According to the ECI, these cells recorded a namer turnout of lower than 89 percent in the 2018 assembly pates. Except for these cells nearly all the cells in the state recorded a namer turnout of 91 or further. The namer turnout was 89.5 in the 2018 Tripura assembly election. The Election commission plans to launch an mindfulness crusade, bean officers will visit elderly citizens and persons with disability, and appeal to them to cast their votes. The ECI’ll make needful arrangements similar as ramps, wheelchairs and separate ranges will be arranged at every polling station to compliment elderly citizens and persons with disability. This will also insure that choosers can cast their votes peacefully in the assembly election to be held in 2023.
