Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh said that Chandrayaan-3’s fourth orbit raising maneuver has been successfully completed. Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh shared a major update on the Chandrayaan-3 mission, as the probe successfully completed its fourth orbit-raising maneuver on Thursday. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) achieved another major success in the Chandrayaan mission as it successfully performed the fourth orbit raising maneuver of Chandrayaan-3 from Bengaluru on Thursday. The space agency managed remote operations from the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC).
Explaining Chandrayaan-3’s trajectory, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the lunar rover will begin its translunar injection (TLI) burn probably on July 31 after executing a series of orbit-raises. It will then analyze a suitable landing position at the Moon’s south pole and execute the operation by August 23. The minister also said that Chandrayaan-3 will enter the lunar orbit in the first week of August. The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on July 14 and is expected to land on the Moon’s south pole by August 23.
