School enrollment cheat in Siliguri, a teacher and colleague arrested

Siliguri, May 24: Bhakti Nagar police has arrested a teacher and her companion for taking money in the name of getting admission in a school. The accused have been identified as teacher Meghna Saha and her friend Soumyadeep Saha.
According to reports, the incident took place during the admission process at a private school located on Sevoke Road. A parent arrived with his child’s enrollment receipt, which the school management found to be fake. Upon enquiry, the parents revealed that their child’s teacher, Meghna Saha, had taken thousands of rupees and provided fake receipts.
After this revelation, the school management lodged written complaint at Bhakti Nagar police station on Wednesday. During the investigation, the police detained Meghna Saha and Soumyadeep Saha. Both the suspects were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.
