Backing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “kerosene” comments aimed at the Modi government, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said his party has also said the same, albeit in different terms.
At an event in London, Gandhi said on Friday that the BJP has spread kerosene across the country and just one spark can create a big problem.
Asked about Gandhi’s statement, Raut told reporters, “What he said is true. We have said the same thing in different words.”
Continuing his attack on the central government, Raut said, “One can see a campaign against people who speak against the central government. This is not good for democracy.”
