A felicitation programme for Health & Family Welfare Department (H&FW), Nagaland secretary Wezope Kenye was organised by Secheku Area Graduates’ Fellowship (SAGF) on his induction to Indian administrative service (IAS). The felicitation programme was held on February 27 at Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima.
During the programme, Kenye shared that unlike his generation, the present generation had access to unlimited resources, better infrastructure and connectivity and therefore encouraged them to utilise these resources for a positive impact in the society.
He motivated the youths to be rooted, to be bold, persistent and accountable in order to acquire achievements in any field.
Rtd. additional secretary to government of Nagaland, Zachive Thele and convenor advisory board SAGF, Colo Mero also spoke in the programme.
Mero stated that in a competitive world, the youth need to focus on developing life skills and be as professional as can be.
SAGF president, Dr. Zavise Rume on behalf of the fellowship congratulated Wezope Kenye on being the first officer to be inducted to IAS cadre from Secheku area.
Dr. Rume said his induction to the IAS cadre fulfilled the long-felt desire and dream of the people of Chakhesang, particularly the people of Secheku area for IAS officers and that it should be taken as a stepping stone for the younger generations.
He further appealed to all the participants to join the fellowship to promote healthy interactions among intellectuals, share resources and promote career development among the members to magnify the impact in the area and beyond.
Earlier, CBCK senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh blessed the newly inducted IAS officer and his family.
The programme was led by SAGF press and media secretary, Khrolhiweu Tsuhah while welcome address was delivered by SAGF general secretary, Dingupe Lasuh.
