Akshay Kumar recently arranged a special preview of his upcoming film ‘Oh My God 2’ for spiritual leader Sadhguru at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. Sadhguru even praised ‘OMG2’ saying that “it is important to educate young people on how to manage their physical needs.” In another tweet on August 8, Sadhguru claimed that the film should not have received ‘A’ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Directed by Amit Rai, it is slated to release on August 11.
‘Oh My God 2’ stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi. One of the major problems surrounding the film is Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva. It was recently confirmed that ‘OMG2’ has received the ‘A – Adults Only’ certification from the Censor Board. Interestingly, this is Akshay Kumar’s first film in 12 years that has been certified only for adults.
After watching the film, Sadhguru responded and wrote the same on Twitter, “‘A’ Certificate in this case should include Adolescents. That’s where it matters most. Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved. -Sg #OMG2 (sic).”
Directed by Amit Rai, Akshay Kumar plays the avatar of Lord Shiva in this film. ‘OMG 2’ also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi and Arun Govil of Ramayan fame. It will hit theaters on August 11, 2023. The satirical comedy-drama is a sequel to the 2012 hit film ‘OMG- Oh My God!’ The film is produced by Cape of Good Films, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde and Rajesh Bahl.
