Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, is on a 2 day official visit to India. He meets with S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister at Hyderabad House.
On 30th March the Russian FM Sergey Lavrov talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in China. China and Russia both pledged to strengthen bilateral ties. On 31st March the Russian FM arrived in India. Moscow launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine on February 24. Since after that it is the first trip of Sergey Lavrov to India.
Along with representatives from Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Sergey Lavrov participated in two multinational meetings on Afghanistan. With special Afghan envoys from China and the US, he also attended a separate meeting of the ‘Extended Troika’.
