Royal Enfield launches the Scram 440: A new adventure crossover motorcycle

Royal Enfield has launched its highly anticipated Scram 440, a versatile crossover motorcycle designed for both urban commuting and off-road adventures. Priced starting at INR 2,08,000 (ex-showroom Siliguri), the Scram 440 features a long-stroke 443cc engine paired with a six-speed gearbox, offering 25.4bhp and 34Nm of torque for an effortless ride across various terrains.

“We designed the Scram 440 to be a motorcycle that’s fun and capable anywhere, anytime,” said B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield. The Scram 440’s rugged build, 19/17-inch dual-purpose tubeless tyres, switchable ABS, and high ground clearance make it a perfect companion for both city streets and rough trails. Its low seat height of 795mm ensures ease of handling, even for shorter riders.

Available in five colours and two variants—Trail and Force—the Scram 440 caters to a wide range of riders. With its tough alloy wheels and modern features like LED headlights, it combines the classic charm of Royal Enfield with contemporary technology. Siliguri, known for its diverse riding culture, is expected to embrace the Scram 440, given its adaptability to both urban and rugged terrains.
