With the Government banning blending of mustard oil with any other cooking oil with effect from October 1, Ritika Vegetable Oil Private Limited would augment its production capability of ‘Mustard oil’ up to 100% per year. Data Group has been in business since last 40 years and producing millions of tons of pure high-quality edible oils. The company markets these oils under various brands including Scooter, Ashoka and Shiv Classic. The company has operations across various districts of Assam and is a leading player in the state. It is also present in other categories of edible oils like soya oil, palm oil and vanaspati. The company plans to further strengthen its presence in Assam and is in the process of appointment of distributors across key districts.
According to company sources, the recent decision of Government directs manufactures of oil manufacturers to not produce any edible oil blended with mustard oil, but there is no ban on production of blended oil with any other oils. So they have increased their production capability of pure and high quality mustard oil.
