Reshmi Deokota breaks barriers, represents West Bengal at Miss Grand India 2025

Reshmi Deokota, a 24-year-old model and entrepreneur from Siliguri, has been selected as the sole representative from West Bengal for Miss Grand India 2025. The national pageant is scheduled to be held on July 13, and Reshmi is among the top finalists chosen from over 500 participants across India.

A multi-faceted talent, Reshmi is not only a model and actor but also a beauty expert, trainer, and mentor. She is the Director of SR Modelling Studio, where she grooms aspiring models in styling and professional presentation. With more than nine years of experience, she has participated in fashion weeks, ad campaigns, and international shoots, and has received accolades like the Best Model Award and the Women Achiever Award.

Starting her journey at just 16, Reshmi was inspired by a modelling book she received at age 15 after winning a local contest. Despite facing challenges, including doubts about her height and limited awareness about modelling in her middle-class background, she remained undeterred.

Reshmi now advocates for youth empowerment and mental health, urging parents to support children’s modelling dreams. “The industry has changed. If you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything,” she says, ready to make West Bengal proud.
