Radium belts are use on stray dogs to save them from the road accidents in the dark of the night. The student society of Siliguri and Islampur sisters and brothers society jointly had done this.
The members of the voluntary organizations of Siliguri use the collar on stray dogs in many areas such as Junction Bus Terminus, Kanchenjunga Stadium, Payel Cinema Hall, College Para and adjoining areas Siliguri District Hospital. On behalf of the organizations the dogs were also fed.
The social worker and the president of the Islampur sisters and brothers society Bapon Das said that, the stray dogs become the victims of the road accidents. Because of that the radium belts use on them.
