redBus, the world’s largest online bus ticketing platform, announces its partnership with Sikkim Nationalised Transport (SNT), a prominent state-owned bus transport corporation, catering to the scenic state of Sikkim. This collaboration signifies an important step forward in the digitization of bus travel in the region, offering passengers a seamless and convenient booking experience. 25 SNT services will be available for online bookings on redBus, with plans to add more private undertaking services in the future. The service, powered by redBus GDS (back-end technology), aims to make it easier for travelers to book bus tickets for inter and intra-state travel in the region. Through this partnership, SNT bus tickets and services will be available on redBus and all its group platforms including Make My Trip and Goibibo. Raj Yadav, Secretary of the Transport Department, Government of Sikkim, stated, “Our aim is to cater to the evolving needs of our diverse customers and make their experience seamless and hassle-free.”
SNT operates 75 routes, including major ones like Siliguri, Gangtok, Namchi, Pakyong, Rumtek, and Machong. The partnership between redBus and SNT aims to introduce convenience and sustainability in bus travel in Sikkim. With increased seat availability, the introduction of electric vehicles, and a variety of routes, passengers can expect a seamless, eco-friendly journey experience.
