Recently Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Gopal Lama has been actively campaigning in Naxalbari since the announcement of the election date for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency. According to reports, Lama conducted election campaigns through bike rallies from Panighat More to the Naxalbari party office. Additionally, he campaigned in the area by riding on the scooter of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh. Apart from participating in a religious event in Rakamjote, Lama also offered his prayers at the Mata Mandir in the location.
In this regard, candidate Gopal Lama mentioned that he has been engaging with the local people through small meetings and door-to-door campaigns, despite the opposition candidate’s announcement not being made yet. Right now election is coming and people are very serious about it. Actually this election is very important and it will tell many things. This is actually good that people are taking election very seriously and want to give vote to right candidate.
