Recently the Matigara police station has arrested a youth with a firearm and two live ammunition. Actually the arrested accused has been identified as Prasanno Bagchi (25), a resident of Indira Pally area in Shiv Mandir. Reportedly, acting on a tip-off late on Thursday night, the undercover cops of Matigara police station launched an operation near Shiv Mandir railway gate and apprehended Prasanno on the basis of suspicion.
During the subsequent search, a country-made pistol and two live ammunition were actually recovered from his possession which prompted his arrest. On this Friday, the accused has been produced before the Siliguri court, while further investigation is currently underway. This is actually very bad incident and it shows how unsafe people are today due to this things. In fact people should take this incident very strictly and immediately inform it to the police if they found anything suspicious. Proper action against this case should be taken so that in future we don’t see these things.
