Rajpath, Central Vista lawns in Delhi to be renamed as ‘Kartavya Path’, Says Official

The govt. authorities has decided to rename the historic Rajpath and Central Vista lawns in the national capital as ‘Kartavya Path’, an official of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) stated on Sunday.

The professional stated that the NDMC has convened a special meeting on September 7 with the objective of renaming the stretch.

In this year’s Independence Day speech, PM Modi had confused the abolition of symbols pertaining to the colonial mindset.

Rajpath was recognised as Kingsway for the duration of British Rule.

Earlier, as per the ethos of the Modi government to make nomenclature greater people-centric, the title of the road on which the PM’s dwelling is placed was once also changed from Race Course Road to Lok Kalyan Marg.
