Rajasthan government school students from Class 1-8 to get milk twice a week

Students from Class 1 to Class VIII of Rajasthan Government Colleges will now be given milk twice a week. According to an official statement, the government is hopeful that the initiative will boost the nutritional level of children besides increasing their enrollment and attendance in authority schools.

Under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Bal Gopal Yojana’ launched with the help of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the budget, students of classes 1 to 8 will get milk twice a week.

The ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’ is going to be implemented in schools, madrasas and exclusive education centers of the authorities affiliated to the mid-day meal scheme.

According to Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Pawan Kumar Goyal, under Chief Minister Bal Gopal Yojana, about 69.21 lakh college students studying in the authority’s faculties will be given milk which is organized from milk powder on Tuesdays and Fridays.

If these days are holidays, milk will be supplied to students on the next academic day.


Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Pawan Kumar Goyal also informed that students of class 1 to 5 will get one hundred and fifty ml of milk and students of class 6 to 8 will get 200 ml of milk.

The Additional Chief Secretary likewise knows that the milk will be procured from the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation.
