Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked the government over a WHO report that claimed 4.7 million Covid deaths in India, saying “science doesn’t lie, Prime Minister Narendra Modi does”.
Gandhi also demanded that the government should support the families who lost their loved ones by giving them a compensation of Rs. four lakh
“Respect the families who lost their loved ones. Compulsively support them? 4 lakh compensation,” the former Congress chief said.
According to the report, there have been 4.7 million Covid deaths in India, which is 10 times the official figure and almost a third of global Covid deaths.
