Siliguri, September 24: A programme was organised at Siliguri Boys’ High School on Monday for the students of ‘Alor Dishari’ coaching centre started by Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Mayor Gautam Deb and other dignitaries attended the programme.
‘Alor Dishari’ coaching centre was established to spread the light of education among the underprivileged students of Siliguri. Initially, this centre started with students of class IX and X. Later, students of class XI were also included in it.
During the program, the students honored the mayor by giving him handmade cards. The mayor also participated in the program by singing songs and had an educational discussion on various topics with the students.
