The Election Commission on Thursday introduced July 18 as the date of the 16th Presidential Election for electing the next President of India.
“The ECI has fixed the time table for the election of the workplace of the President of India. The notification for the election will be issued on June 15, the closing date for nomination is scheduled for June 29, whilst the polls to be held on July 18. The counting of the votes, if needed, shall be executed on July 21,” Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated at a press convention in New Delhi.
“The fee has determined to hold all Covid precautions and protocols on polling day,” he added.
