Prateik Babbar shares experience, how it felt on working in ‘India Lockdown’

The teaser of Zee5 next original movie ‘India Lockdown’ has hit the theatres. The movie marks how the lives of people in India were effected by the pandemic. It highlights Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar and Prakash Balewadi in chief roles and Hrishitaa Bhatt in a cameo. Actor Prateik Babbar said how it felt like stepping into the shoes of a migrant worker.

In the teaser, we see that actress Shweta Basu Prasad played a role of Mehrunissa, a sex worker in Kamathipura in Mumbai who has unwillingly adapted to the changes made by the lockdown and experiment with new ways of doing her work online. Aahana Kumra played the role Moon Alves, a pilot who was used to soar high in the sky but after pandemic she got stuck to ground for months together and who for the first time felt what it is like to have her wings cut.

Prateik Babbar as Madhav and Sai Tamhankar as Phoolmati are migrant laborers who have lost their livelihood in the pandemic and are left to starve or to walk back home as trains and local transports are closed. And lastly, Prakash Belawadi as Nageshwar, an old man who is stuck in a different city than his daughter at a critical time of her life. The movie shows how they tackled the pandemic and survive through difficult times.
