Siliguri, Jan 29: Pradhan Nagar Police in Siliguri has arrested a miscreant with a gun. The arrested miscreant has been identified as Khokan Mahant, a resident of Dhaknikata area.
Reports suggest that on Tuesday night, Pradhan Nagar Police received information about a youth roaming around with a gun near Vishwadeep Cinema Hall. Acting on this information, the police conducted a raid in the area. The suspect was apprehended and searched and a gun and ammunition were recovered.
According to police sources, the arrested miscreant has a criminal record earlier. He was produced in Siliguri Court on Wednesday. Pradhan Nagar Police is currently investigating the case.
