Piramal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Piramal Group has touched the lives of more than one crore people in Assam. During the Covid19 pandemic three new intiaitves were launched by the Foundation namley, Aspirational Districts Collaborative (ADC), Digital Bharat Collaborative and Tribal Health Collaborative. The Chief Minister of Assam, Shri. HimantaBiswaSarma acknowledged the work done by the foundation during the pandemic and the continuing endeavour to touch greater number of lives in the State..

The Piramal Foundation has committed to co-create an Assam context-specific, AyushmanBharat Digital Mission-compliant comprehensive health care solution. The Foundation will enable the convergence of departments and schemes to deliver better health, water, and education outcomes in 7 Aspirational Districts. Sarathi 104,the tele-health service responded to over 2 crore calls and proved especially beneficial during the Pandemic when physical travel was restricted.

The Tribal Health Collaborative aided in improving health outcomes of tribal people to achieve National Health Mission (NHM) goals. Niramaya, the healthcare records programregistered data of over 1 Lakh beneficiaries and screened 4.5 lakh people for Tuberculosis across 8 districts. Ajay Piramal, Chairman of Piramal Group said, “Building on this momentum, we have embarked on new programsin order to  touch the lives of more people in the state, and contribute to helping India achieve itsSustainable Development Goals by 2030.”
