Siliguri, October 04: Bhakti Nagar police have arrested a person on charges of fraud. The accused has been identified as Viman Adhikari, resident of Madhavpur Kumarganj.
According to the report, complainant Subrata Adhikari, a resident of Vidyachakra Colony, Ward No. 44, alleged that he had sold a car to Viman Adhikari three years ago. However, the payment process turned out to be fraudulent. Subrata said that he received only Rs 15,000 out of Rs 3 lakh and the rest of the amount was not paid.
After this, Subrata lodged a written complaint in Bhakti Nagar police station. After investigation, the police arrested the accused and presented him in Jalpaiguri court on Friday. At present, further investigation of the entire case is being done.
