Phansidewa, Sep 27: A major breakthrough has been achieved in the recent bike theft case with the recovery of four motorcycles and the arrest of one person.
The incident came to light after a complaint was lodged at the Bidhannagar Investigation Centre on September 19, reporting the theft of a bike from the Bidhannagar market in Phansidewa.
Following investigation, Nitesh Hembram, a resident of Chopra in North Dinajpur, was arrested in the theft case. The officers also recovered four motorcycles from him.
Kurseong Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Roy confirmed this in a press conference held on Friday and said that the recovery was made in Chopra as part of the ongoing investigation of the theft case.
