Investor services, awareness & protection are the key functions of stock exchanges. In order to cater to the needs of investors of securities markets in the states of Sikkim, SEBI along with stock exchanges NSE and BSE has established an “Investor Service Centre” at Gangtok. These Investor Service Centre managed by NSE was operationalized on February26,2024.
Exchange has established new Investor Service Centres to improve investor access and provide query resolution, complaint resolution, and assistance in filing complaints on SEBI Scores Portal and Smart ODR Portal. Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, NSE MD & CEO, asserted, “The Investor Service Centre will facilitate resolution of complaints of investors against listed corporate entities and other registered intermediaries in the securities market and will also facilitate conducting of investor awareness programs in the states.”
The ISC centre in Gangtok will offer learning, interaction and knowledge sessions on various investment products and queries, including Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded Funds, Sovereign Gold Bonds, Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs), and Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvITs), open to all investors interested in understanding and investing in the securities market. Investors can access services at the Investor Service Centre in Gangtok, located on the 1st floor of Mohora Commercial, Opp Deorali, Bazar, near Bufferfly Bridge, Sikkim-7371011.
