The National Skill Development Corporation has organized two Business Matchmaking Seminars in Osaka and Tokyo to highlight the potential of Indian candidates in the global job market. Tokyo event attracted 50+ participants from 40 companies and 17 Indian organizations, featuring dignitaries, corporates, and recruitment agencies, with key guests Ms. Seeta Sharma, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Virtual).
Over 45 participants and 40 companies from Japanese and Indian organizations attended an event in Osaka, attended by dignitaries, including Ms. Shruti Pandey, Deputy Director, International Collaboration, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India and Mr. Bhupendra Singh, Deputy Secretary, OIA Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The seminars focused on two government-to-government initiatives: the Technical Intern Training Program and the Specified Skilled Worker program.
The seminars, co-organized with the Japan International Trainee & Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO) and the Embassy of India, aimed to enhance the visibility of Indian Sending Organizations and highlight India’s value proposition in addressing Japan’s skilled labor shortage. Key governmental bodies, including the MSDE, the MEA, and the Embassy of Japan in India, supported the seminars. Attendees engaged in productive discussions aimed at closing the skills gap and creating an effective platform for Indian Stakeholder Organizations to collaborate with Japanese Supervising Organizations and Implementing Organizations. NSDC CEO Shri Ved Mani Tiwari emphasized the potential of India to contribute to the global skilled workforce and the partnership between India and Japan for mutual growth and development.
