News Desk: National Highway 10 (NH10) at Selfie Danda is officially closed despite efforts by the department to open it after cutting a portion of the wall. The highway was initially closed on June 30 due to disruption caused by the river, but daily life has been severely affected due to the closure of the highway for the last 19 days.
The Public Works Department (PWD) had successfully attempted traffic management and road clearance works, but the complete reopening of NH 10 has been delayed due to the collapse of the highway due to the Teesta river. The administration is going to officially open the highway for regular traffic soon after complete inspection.
Meanwhile, local residents and drivers have expressed frustration over the prolonged closure and highlighted the difficulties they face in going about their daily routine. As a result, he urged the administration to take prompt action to reopen NH 10 at the earliest.
