Siliguri, February 11: The mysterious death of Shyamal Roy, his wife Tumpa Roy and their son Pintu in Samar Nagar market area of Siliguri has taken a new turn a month after the incident. After this, the family members of the deceased Tumpa have made allegations.
On the morning of January 15, the bodies of Shyamal Roy, his wife Tumpa and their son were found in their house in the area under Bhakti Nagar Police Station. Initial investigation by the police has revealed that Shyamal, who was under the burden of debt, killed his wife and son and then committed by suicide.
However, Tumpa Roy’s family has now raised serious questions about the case. They claim that the mistress of the house and her younger son know the truth behind the murder. According to the family, Tumpa had an illicit relationship with the landlord’s son and two weeks before the incident, she had borrowed Rs 1.5 lakh from her mother. The family has also raised questions on the police investigation and alleged that Tumpa’s mobile phone has not been recovered yet and the police is trying to hide the truth. After this, the family lodged a complaint at Bhakti Nagar police station and demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
