This train will travel from Chennai to Mysuru. It is the fifth Vande Bharat Express across the country. It is the first Vande Bharat Express in South India. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the train will facilitate connectivity between industrial hub Chennai and IT and startup hub Bangalore and tourist hub Mysuru. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108-feet tall statue of Nandaprabhu Kempegowda at the Kempegowda Airport in Bangalore on the same day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan train from KSR Railway Station. Karnataka is the first state to work in a joint venture with the Ministry of Railways to launch trains under the Bharat Gaurav scheme. This train will make it easy for pilgrims to reach Kashi from Karnataka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Tamil Nadu. From there he reached Visakhapatnam at night.
