Narayan Seva Sansthan, renowned for its humanitarian efforts for the differently-abled, is set to organize a free Narayan Limb and Calipers Fitting Camp in Siliguri on January 12. The camp, targeting 160 pre-selected Divyangs from the Eastern Himalayan region and West Bengal, will be held at Shivam Palace on Bardhaman Road from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Announcing the initiative during a press conference, Sansthan’s Media and Public Relations Director Bhagwan Prasad Gaur emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting the differently-abled. He highlighted that this camp follows a limb measurement camp held in September, which identified 160 individuals who had lost limbs due to accidents or mishaps. These beneficiaries will now receive German technology-based artificial limbs, enabling them to regain independence and reintegrate into society.
The camp has garnered support from over 15 local organizations, including Uttar Bang Marwari Seva Trust and Shri Ram Seva Parivar. Additionally, the Siliguri market has shown immense enthusiasm, with local businesses and community groups extending their support to the cause. This collaborative effort reflects the market’s commitment to social welfare, underscoring Siliguri’s role as a hub of compassion and community engagement. Narayan Seva Sansthan, which has benefited over 36,000 individuals with free artificial limbs since 1985, aims to bring a positive change to the lives of West Bengal’s disabled population.
