Narayan Seva Sansthan launches free limb camp in Siliguri to empower disabled

Narayan Seva Sansthan from Udaipur, Rajasthan, will host its first free artificial limb camp in Siliguri on Sunday, September 22, at Uttarbanga Marwari Bhawan, Sevok Road. This camp aims to assist individuals disabled by birth, accidents, or diseases.

Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, the institute’s Director of Media and Public Relations, stated, “Our mission is to empower disabled individuals through high-quality prosthetic solutions.” The camp will operate from 8 AM to 6 PM, where expert orthotists and prosthetic doctors will conduct evaluations and systematic measurements for lightweight and durable limbs.

With over 310 individuals already registered, more than 500 attendees are expected. Participants will receive complimentary meals, tea, and snacks. Local organizations, including Uttarbanga Marwari Seva Trust and Shri Ram Seva Parivar, are partnering to support the camp.Achal Singh Bhati, camp coordinator, emphasized that selections for surgeries will take place on-site, with successful candidates receiving free operations at the institute’s Udaipur headquarters. This initiative aligns with Narayan Seva Sansthan’s commitment to enhancing the lives of disabled individuals, having fitted over 46,722 prosthetic limbs since its inception in 1985.
