On Wednesday, MLA Akhil Gogoi was suspended by Biswajit Daimary, Assam Assembly Speaker.
As per information, the MLA was seen disrupting the proceedings. Gogoi was escorted out by two marshals for a question-and-answer session. Shivsagar MLA wanted to ask a supplementary question regarding Education Department.
Because of Gogoi’s offence, Daimari ordered him suspended for the rest of the question-and-answer period.
He said, “The rules of ‘Andolan’ (protest) cannot be allowed inside the House. It has its own set of rules,”.
