Medical services disrupted at Alipurduar District Hospital due to nationwide doctors’ strike; patients face problems

As a result, outdoor services at the hospital were closed, causing hardship to patients and their families.
The strike has sparked protests across the country, creating significant challenges for patients seeking medical care. Many people who came to the hospital for treatment were forced to return home without any assistance.
On learning of the situation, MLA and Rogi Kalyan Association President Suman Kanjilal visited the hospital to assess the situation. He discussed with doctors and made arrangements to take care of urgent cases. Despite this intervention, patients and their families are urging rapid normalization of medical services.
Speaking on the matter, MLA Suman Kanjilal said that the doctors’ strike is a nationwide issue, and its impact is being felt in hospitals across the country, with outpatient department (OPD) services being particularly affected.
