Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) launched its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) SUV, the e VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Designed on the exclusive HEARTECT-e platform, this premium SUV combines cutting-edge technology with sustainable mobility. The e VITARA will be available through NEXA dealerships and exported to over 100 countries.
The e VITARA offers two battery options, 49kWh and 61kWh, providing a range exceeding 500 km on a single charge. Its innovative features include a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), integrated digital displays, and ‘Infinity by Harman’ premium sound. Advanced safety features such as seven airbags and a reinforced energy-absorbing structure ensure a secure driving experience.
Speaking at the event, Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, emphasized the vision of making India a global hub for electric vehicle manufacturing. “The e VITARA reflects the essence of Make in India and our commitment to innovation,” he said. With its robust range and innovative charging solutions like fast DC chargers and smart home chargers, the SUV caters to urban buyers prioritizing eco-friendly commuting. With plans to roll out 1,500 EV-enabled service outlets across 1,000 cities, Maruti Suzuki aims to establish a comprehensive EV ecosystem, setting a benchmark for India’s electric mobility.
