Manipur CM meets PM Modi in Delhi

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. The meeting focused on various initiatives taken by the state government to maintain peace and development in the North Eastern state.

In a tweet, the Chief Minister of Manipur said that he informed the Prime Minister about the steps taken by the state government to fight drugs and corruption.

“Called on PM Narendra Modi Ji today and I had the privilege to discuss various initiatives that the state government has taken up to sustain peace and development in Manipur. Also, apprised him of the steps that we have taken up to fight drugs and corruption in the state,” the Manipur Chief Minister said in a tweet.

Earlier, Singh had said that his government’s first task would be to make Manipur a corruption-free state and would work day and night to wash corruption from the state.
