According to the reports, from 1st August, the police administration has stopped the movement of unregistered e-rickshaws on the main roads. The drivers have raised their voices in protest. A major protest on Monday took place, and the drivers came to the streets to protest again on Tuesday.
The protesting drivers said that they come from very weak and poor backgrounds, while several have loaned money to purchase their e-rickshaws. They asked how they would pay the loans if they are not allowed to run their vehicles on the main roads.
As per their demands, the protesting drivers had fought with the administration to allow them to run vehicles in areas, including Fulbari, Naukaghat, Jalpai More, Thana More, and Medical More areas.
