LG Electronics India has announced the launch of its Life’s Good Scholarship Program, a major CSR initiative designed to support students across 200 colleges in India. The program will offer substantial financial aid to help students pursue higher education, with a particular emphasis on promoting girl child education.
At the launch event held at LG’s Corporate Office in Noida, MD Hong Ju Jeon expressed the company’s dedication to making a difference through this initiative. “Education is pivotal to societal progress and economic empowerment,” said Jeon. The scholarships will cover 50% of tuition fees, up to INR 1 lakh for undergraduates and INR 2 lakh for postgraduates, benefiting both merit-based and need-based applicants. Notably, 25% of the scholarships are reserved for meritorious female students.
In Kolkata, the program is expected to have a significant impact. With its large student population and numerous educational institutions, Kolkata stands to benefit greatly from the financial assistance provided. The Life’s Good Scholarship Program aims to alleviate financial barriers, ensuring that talented students in the city have better access to higher education and career opportunities.
