LG Electronics India has unveiled its first-ever Braille AC Remote Cover, marking a significant innovation in accessible technology for the visually impaired. The launch aligns with LG’s long-standing commitment to making technology more inclusive and was attended by representatives from the National Association for the Blind (NAB) and LG’s leadership team.
The Braille AC Remote Cover, designed to allow visually impaired individuals to independently operate LG air conditioners, was demonstrated live at the event. Mr. Youngmin Hwang, Director of Home Appliances & Air Conditioner at LG Electronics India, stated, “This product ensures that all individuals can enjoy comfort with ease, advancing our mission of inclusivity.”
In Kolkata, a key market for LG, the introduction of this product is expected to enhance LG’s customer base. The city’s growing demand for inclusive technology provides a prime opportunity for LG to strengthen its foothold, particularly as local consumers increasingly seek brands that cater to diverse needs.
