KFC sets new standard with sign language training for all employees

KFC India has announced the launch of a comprehensive Sign Language training program for all its 17,000 employees. This initiative coincides with International Day of Sign Languages and aims to promote inclusivity across its 1,200+ locations nationwide.

The training, developed in collaboration with Sign Language experts, consists of multiple online modules designed for beginners, covering essential Indian Sign Language (ISL) skills. As part of its Kshamata program, KFC is committed to empowering the speech and hearing-impaired community, aiming to double the number of such employees by 2026.

Adding to this effort, KFC has unveiled India’s first interactive Sign Language kiosk, located at Select CityWalk in New Delhi and Ambience Mall in Gurugram. This innovative kiosk allows customers to learn to order popular food items using ISL, enhancing accessibility in the hospitality sector. In Siliguri, this initiative not only raises awareness but also encourages local businesses to adopt similar inclusivity practices, ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. As KFC leads by example, it sets a new benchmark for service excellence in the region.
