Kerala Police register case against those who forced girl to remove innerwear during NEET exam

Kerala police on Tuesday registered a case in connection with an alleged incident, where younger ladies and female who appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test or NEET exam, were requested to put off their bra to be allowed to write the examination in Kollam district. The issue came to mild on Monday when the father of a 17-year-old woman advised the media that his daughter, who used to be sitting for her first-ever NEET exam, was but to come out of the nerve-racking experience whereby she had to sit down for the over 3-hour-long exam besides a bra.

The case was once registered after a team of ladies officers recorded the statement of the girl, they said, including that an investigation has been launched and the friskers who had been allegedly involved in the act would be arrested soon. The father had instructed a TV channel that his daughter was dressed as per the gown code mentioned in the NEET bulletin which did no longer say some thing about undergarments.

Police stated a case has been registered beneath Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 [Assault or criminal pressure to lady with intent to outrage her modesty] and 509 [Word, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a woman] on the foundation of a grievance of a girl who allegedly confronted the humiliating trip whilst performing for the NEET exam held at a private educational institute at Ayur in Kollam district on Sunday.
