Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, pleading with him “not to stop Delhi’s budget,” amid a dispute between the Center and the AAP dispensation in the nation’s capital over the matter. The presentation of the Delhi government’s 2023–24 budget, which was due for Tuesday, has been postponed as a result of disputes between the Kejriwal administration and the federal government over funding for several departments. Kejriwal claimed that the Center was using “gundagardi” and claimed that this was the first time in the history of the nation that a government’s budget has been postponed.
