Medical oxygen becomes a central requirement and in this situation, Jammu and Kashmir have received the consignment of seven oxygen generation plants from Germany with a cumulative oxygen generation capacity of 7,100 litres per minute (LPM). Among the seven plants, five will have a capacity of 1000 LPM each while the two plants will have a capacity of 1500 and 600 LPM.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan said with the commissioning of these seven plants the oxygen requirement in the hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir will almost be fulfilled and will cater to daily requirements. He also thanked Prime Minister, Lieutenant Governor, Air Force by whose efforts the oxygen generation plants have been received within two days only. Adding the statement he said the supporting infrastructure for the oxygen plants is almost ready and it is expected to be installed and to be commissioned within a few days.
