Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Chairman Anit Thapa, on
Monday, announced that the installation of TrueNAT machines has
started in the GTA region.
As per the report, there are a total of 6 TrueNAT machines in the
GTA region which will be installed shortly. While 2 TrueNAT
machines will be installed in Darjeeling District Hospital, each will
be installed at Kurseong Hospital, Mirik Hospital, Kalimpong Triveni
Hospital and Gorubathan Hospital.
The TrueNAT machines are used for screening patients for
COVID-19 and carry out conventional RT-PCR tests. Reportedly,
the machines will be operated by experienced Molecular Biologists
and technicians. Each TrueNAT machines can provide results in as
less as 2 hours.
